DESCRIPTION
Confined Space Entry Course is a comprehensive, one day course designed to give delegates the knowledge, skills and confidence to perform activities within any confined space, such as working in the manholes, shafts, chambers, excavations, duct systems, tank cleaning and repair etc.
INTENDED FOR
Line Managers, Supervisors and Individuals involved in managing or performing work activities within a confined space.
AIMS / OBJECTIVES
Course is designed for staff members who are appointed as Manager, Supervisors and Manhole watchers. Delegates will learn the basic concept of confined space entry exit procedures and gas testing requirements for their premises.
- Understand current legislation regarding confined space entry
- Recognizing types of confined spaces and their associated hazards
- Testing and monitoring the atmosphere
- Implement control measures to eliminate or reduce potential risk
- The safe use and maintenance of working breathing apparatus (BA)
