This qualification aims to provide trainers, whether new or experienced, with comprehensive support in enhancing their training skills and obtaining a recognized training qualification. It equips trainers with the necessary knowledge and practical competencies to deliver effective training sessions, focusing on TMC's qualifications (excluding those requiring a regulated teaching qualification). The qualification emphasizes the development of planning, preparation, and delivery skills, including delivery methods, time management, and effective management of groups and individuals. By covering a wide range of subjects such as practical training techniques, slide presentations, session planning, diverse learning styles, and assessment methods, the qualification enables trainers to deliver high-quality and interactive training sessions that meet the diverse needs of learners and contribute to their success. TMC strongly emphasizes assessing the practical competence of trainers, ensuring they possess the requisite skills and abilities to excel in their training roles.
AUDIENCE: Who should attend?
This training is specifically designed for internal and external trainers who seek to enhance their training skills. This training benefits professionals in various roles, including officers, managers, directors, and individuals in sales, HR, or administrative departments. It equips them with the necessary skills to effectively deliver training sessions and enhance their performance in their respective roles.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this qualification, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the principles underlying effective training design and development.
- Prepare and organize training materials in a manner that facilitates effective learning.
- Deliver training sessions using interactive techniques and engaging delivery methods.
- Assess learner performance accurately and provide constructive feedback.
- Adapt training delivery to accommodate learner needs and session dynamics effectively.
- Apply best practices for creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Familiarize themselves with the critical components of the P-A-G-O-R and EPL models.
DURATION & DELIVERY MODE
The recommended duration for achieving this qualification is three days, totalling 12-15 hours of training. However, there is flexibility to combine it with other technical qualifications over an extended period, depending on the specific needs and requirements of the learners. The qualification is primarily delivered through a classroom-based approach, enabling interactive and practical learning experiences. Participants actively engage with the content, participate in discussions, and practice their training skills under the tutor's guidance. The focus is on hands-on learning and application of the concepts taught in the qualification. A tutor-to-learner ratio of 1 to 12 is maintained over a minimum duration of 12-15 hours (3 days) to ensure effective delivery and assessment. The delivery of the program is adapted to accommodate the specific needs of the learners and the local circumstances.
ASSESSMENT
- The observation report requires learners to practically demonstrate their delivery skills by conducting one or two training sessions with a combined duration of 30 minutes. The sessions should showcase a satisfactory level of achievement across each assessment criterion.
- The tutor-learner discussion component provides an opportunity for learners to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding in relation to their micro-teaching session.
- The qualification requires learners to achieve all specified learning outcomes within the assessment criteria.
