What’s the difference between Level 2 and Level 3?
Level 2 is an introductory certificate for beginners which is required to become an assisstant teacher/LSA/Shadow teacher in a Nursery or Childcare centers, Level 3 is the Early Years Educator Diploma,which is required to become the Lead Teacher in a Nursery or Early years Settings, with 10 mandatory units, 95 credits and On-site Teaching Practice.
Which level should I choose?
CACHE Level 2 – For Assistant Teacher Roles
If you have a high school certificate and want to start your career as an Assistant Teacher in early years or nursery settings, CACHE Level 2 is a suitable starting point. It can also provide a pathway to progress to Level 3.
CACHE Level 3 – For Lead Teacher Roles
If your goal is to work towards a Lead Teacher role and you have a Bachelor’s degree or a relevant CACHE Level 2 qualification, CACHE Level 3 may be the appropriate next step.

Who is eligible for Level 3?
NCFE sets a minimum age of 16 and recommends a Level 2 qualification first. You will also need access to an early-years setting for your placement hours. TMC may have its own entry guidelines — please check with our advisor.
Does Level 3 require a placement?
Yes. The Level 3 Diploma requires Teaching Practice hours in an early-years setting. Contact us today as TMC Provides the internship Programmes to their students (ONLY) to complete the on-site teaching and to gain UAE teaching Experience
Does Level 2 qualify me to work in a nursery?
The CACHE Level 2 Certificate is an introductory qualification and an excellent first step towards a career in early years education and childcare. It can help learners Acquire roles such as Assistant Teacher, Learning Support Assistant (LSA), or Shadow Teacher in the Nurseries or Early year Settings.
How are CACHE Level 2 and Level 3 assessed?
CACHE Level 2 is assessed through written assignments, with no traditional exam.
CACHE Level 3 is assessed through written assignments and a portfolio of evidence, including observations in your placement setting to demonstrate your practical skills and knowledge.
What certificate will I receive?
On successful completion, your certificate is issued by NCFE, the UK awarding organisation for CACHE qualifications.
Is the course online or onsite?
The qualification is delivered through a hybrid learning model. You will attend live online sessions with qualified trainers, while the required teaching practice is completed onsite in a nursery or early years setting.
