DESCRIPTION
Confined Space Rescue Course is a comprehensive, one day course designed to give delegates the knowledge, skills and confidence to understand rescue procedures, prompt rescue and safe evacuation from any confined space, such manholes, shafts, chambers, excavations, duct systems, tanks etc.
INTENDED FOR
Line Managers, Supervisors and Individuals involved in designing, developing and managing rescue procedures for a confined space work activity.
AIMS / OBJECTIVES
Course is designed for staff members who are appointed as Manager, Supervisors and Manhole watchers. Delegates will learn the basic concept of confined space entry exit procedures and gas testing requirements for their premises, various type of rescue apparatus and rescue methods.
- Understand current local legislation regarding confined space
- Recognizing types of confined spaces and their associated hazards
- Implement rescue procedures to reduce potential risk
- The safe use and maintenance of working breathing apparatus (BA)

- Confined Space entry preparation
- Emergency Rescue apparatus
- Rescue arrangements and summon techniques
- Difference of rescuer and would be rescuer
- Standby/Rescue
- Practical session (Providing physical rescue (dummy), use of rescue apparatus)
